I don't own small businesses, I bank them. I understand what losing a large chunk of your customer base can do because I've seen it happen to more than a couple of my cients unfortunately...
Any way you look at it, anything that causes a significant suspension/delay of any one of the big 3s operations will spell doom for several smaller businesses like suppliers. It's simply a matter of having your cashflow murdered. Lack of cash in a timely manner or lack of cash all together (for those that won't get paid at all due to a bankruptcy) = failure.
